Actually, I never said that.
Angelina Jolie did.
And while I am certainly not in competition with her, shocking/playful/scary or otherwise, (and I can see people shaking with apoplexy at the thought of talking about me and Angelina in the same breath), it will be appreciated that it is indeed something to be grateful for, when someone else declares you are honest, as opposed to declaring it yourself to the press.........
Priya, of Dreaming in Suburbia, has sent me this Certified Honest Blogger Award . I cherish this, coming as it does from someone my daughter's age. Thank you.
I would like to pass this award to Darlene, who probably is more honest and has more guts than all of us together, and is the oldest blogger I know.........
Usha , from the garden city of Bangalore, has sent me another award. The Flower Smeller award !
They say that God gave us our memories so that we might have roses in December.
While I am probably up to October, by now, it has been fun writing about the memories, and yes, one can already smell the fragrance....
This explains the award .
(This badge serves to acknowledge others who are, in their own way, smelling the flowers.
They maybe regular visitors to the GO! Smell the flowers community, one of our founders blogs or someone that could contribute here who is yet to visit! Maybe they have recovered from an illness, written a book, made waves in the blogosphere, won the lottery, inspire others, made a major shift in their life, won promotion, quit the rat race, raising a family, discovering their greatness and on it GO!s as more examples from around the world start to surface. They may not even have an online presence at all - that’s where this award differs!)I would love to pass this award on to Vivek, Lakshmi, Hip Hop Grandmom, and Lilly.....
This has been a busy time, starting of the New Year, and getting the opportunity to start a Limerick Blog, in partnership with some folks I met in the blogosphere.
While we are confidently unsure of our poetic abilities, I assure you that established limerickers need not feel insecure.
Honestly ! :-)
Oh wow, seriously thank you so much. It means a lot coming from you too! Bless you.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you are starting a limerick blog? Cannot wait.
By the way I am going to do my first cricket post in the next week - imagine!!!

ReplyDeletePri Thank you & Welcome to my blog.....
ReplyDeleteJudy Thank you
Sucharita LOL I am fairly bent over double under the weight of so many wonderful folks writing in , but this "Angelina-Jolie-beauty-in-brains-award" thing has me flat out ROTFL, or better still ROTPHL ...(PH = Pot Holes). Another obstruction for the MCGB to clear? :-)
Okay, now I get it. I hope I am not the Sasural type. Thanks for straightening me out. I sometimes read too fast and don't take in all of the details. I must stop that. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am not to be deterred. I repeatedly tried posting my Honest Blogger award using the URL and blog.spot said it was broken.
ReplyDeleteI just tried entering it in my template using the URL, but that didn't work either. I need the code. Do you still have the code you used, Ugich, or can I find it someplace else?
Thank you again for the award and I hope I can eventually get it right.
